This photo is called a still. It is from the movie serial “The Lost Jungle” 1934. A little known fact….Clyde Beatty owned a movie company called Mascot Productions.

This Photo of Clyde Beatty and Cecelia Parker was a publicity shot for the 1934 serial “The Lost Jungle” that they both starred in. The producer was Nat Lavine. Later in 1935 this photo was in the program of the Cole Bros & Clyde Beatty Circus.

Someone took this photo just before Beatty went into the arena. He liked the photo so he used it in his route book for the season of 1950.

This is the safari outfit Beatty wore in the movie “Africa Screams” starring Hilary Brooks Abbott and Costello . His appearence in the movie was that of a expedition leader. The picture was shot in 1947 or 48. Frank Buck also appeared in this flim.

This African Elephant was presented on the Cole Bros Clyde Beatty circus in 1935. This photo was used in their program………The bullman here in this photo is not known me. After closer examination, it may be Joe Metcalf in his younger days.
