The Barnum and Bailey Circus (Bridgeport, Connecticut) was founded by Phineas Taylor Barnum (1810-1891). P.T. Barnum was born in Bethel, Connecticut. My mother took this shot in 1949….where I don’t know, but I do remember my Mom and Dad visiting some friends that were on the show.
