Photo taken in Marion, Indiana in 1923. On top of the elephant is John Robinson. On the far left is “Cheerful” Gardener, Superintendent of Elephants. The next person’s name is unknown to me. This is what I call papering! Thanks Dan for the great photo. I am quiet sure the circus blogers will enjoy it. I am guessing the photo was taken in the mid 1930’s. It reads on the posters the town they are playing,,,, Lynchburg.

Mlle Auora and her Polar Bears seen here in this rare photo of 1898. She also performed with the Bostock Wild Animal Circus. Later a simlar act was presented by Ursula Bottcher on the 106th edition of Ringling Bros and Barnun Circus. Hopefully, I will soon have a photo of Ursula. Thannk you Adaline […]
