High Seating: When the ushers are pushing the audience higher in the bleachers to make more room for those coming in.

Strawing: This happened when there were more people in the audience than there were seats. The workers would bring in bales of straw and throw them down in front of the seats or wherever there was room. This was called “strawing” or looks like a “strawthum” crowd.

The Flag is Up: When the flag went up on the cook house, it alerted the perfromers that it was time to eat.
