Lou Jacobs okLou Jacobs and a fellow clown who’s name is unknown to me. This a walk around. In an earlier post I wrote about how important they are to attract the audience’s attention while dismantling or setting up the arenas.

Lou JacobLou Jacobs 1958 ………… Walk around. Every clown had his own gags for their walk around. This portion of the show was important as the clowns would walk the hippodrome doing their funny bits. The prop crew had up to 5 or 7 minutes to set the rings or aerial for next displays. Eyes were so trained on the clowns that the audience paid no attention to the work being done in the arenas. During the circus there may be many walk arounds. It all depended on what was needed.

Emmett Kelly 1958. If those of you have any knowledge or history, or even a “jack pot” of any of the photos I post, please make a comment…. Thanks.

Just found out from Chic from his comment that this is Otto Griebling.

Thanks for your help.
