The Car Sales Promotion

In 1978 we were on the road with Space Age Amusement. Our show was on the back end of the midway where we did three to four performances a day. Each show lasted about 30 minutes, sometimes more. I had six acts plus clowns and other performers so we would alternate the acts. This one day a car salesman asked if we could take the chimp act to his dealership to help promote his business. We gave away free front gate tickets and some ride tickets. It turned out to be a very successful promotion.
A Circus With A Carnival

There are those that say that Carnivals and Circuses don’t mix. This attitude was in the older years. We in the business know why, there is no need to explain. Things started to change in 1950’s to this day. You may find a circus or performers at a Fair or Carnival midways. Some of my must successful seasons were on the back of a Carnival midway.
