Just two men to drive stakes with a hydrochloric fork lift. We used to use 6 hydrochloric men with 16 pound sledge hammers…. Time changes things.

As always, the antics of the circus clown is one of the best part of the show for the kids and even me. They also play a very important part that few people know but for the circus performer. During their bit, they provide the time needed to set up for the next act that has a lot of rigging.

I could not find the name of this act, but they were very good performers.

This is where the get-away money is made. There are times that the cash made here will get you to the next spot. We also call this our gravy money. All of these concessions are usually owned by the circus. There are however, shows that book concessionaires which receive a percentage of the take . It is not unknown that a circus performer will work butchering the seats to make a little extra money.

I believe this is Alex Ramos working the camels. We met the Ramos family through my cousin, Shirley Henry. We called them and were invited to the show while they were in Mesa, AZ. This is where we met Alex, Jessica and others for the first time. Again what a fine family.

The outside menagerie was a big hit with the kids. It was very obvious that the animals were will kept. From a personal view, I was surprised and happy to see these animals. After all in my opinion a circus is really not complete with out them.

Outside in front the entrance they have a corral type menagerie where the show animals await the people that pass. It is evident that these animals have the best of care!
