This ride was a SPITFIRE before the Siebands converted it to the Paratrooper in the early 1950’s. Where the paratrooper seats are now, was a 2 passenger airplanes that represented a world war two spit fighter. The wings of the plans could be turned against the air flow allowing it to spin.

Ding Show: Any type of side show entertainment where a donation is given to the owner of the show.  A box was at the entrance of the show and when the patrons dropped their coins into the box, you could hear a “ding” as the coins hit a small bell in the box which would alert a man at the door to let them into the show.

Siebrand Bros Elephants

Photo taken in the 1950’s.  I don’t remember this trainers name. For over 45 years acts came and went on the Siebrand Circus……some played for only one season. It was a good place to brake in a new act for the bigger circuses. Our family performed with the Siebrand circus numerous seasons from 1947 to1965.
