National Date Festival 1982. I produced a tractor pull as a one day event at the festival. The contestents keep teasing me that I should get a tractor and enter the pull. I could’t get a tractor, so I promoted a tank from the National Guard….guess who won the event.

Caller: A person on a platform of a side show calling the people on the midway to the show. Also referred to as a “Barker”.

Twenty Four Sheeter: The size of the advertising paper that was pasted on barns & fences etc. The size of the poster paper was 24′ x 24″. Sometimes they would be used in a collage, using different pictures.
A second definition was to describe a person that was showing off.
