The Strike

In 1938 the union struck against Ringling Bros. in Scranton PA. Ringling then moved their acts to Al G. Barns and Sells Floto shows. These titles they owned when John Ringling bought the American Circus Corporation in 1928. Pretty smart.
Greatest Show on Earth

Del Graham was one of the technical directors on the television series The Greatest Show on Earth, starring Jack Palance. In this photo from left to right are Fleur, Lynn and Jack. I also worked in this television series. I was in five different segments. There were many circus performers that worked in this series, thanks to Mr. Del Graham.

The Flying Souths were also a part of the Del Graham’s Flying Viennas. I believe they were a comedy flying act.

1963 Del , Fleur & Lynn. Photo taken on the set of TV series “Greatest Show On Earth.” The television series inspired many stars to learn how to fly. Del would encourage them and invite them to his home where he would commence to teach them. Ricky and David Nelson performed in many circus shows and were part of the Flying Viennas.
