One of my memories of Charlie Allen is that he always had a smile on his face. Charlie suffered with a physical problem, but he never let it get the best of him. He was indeed an inspiration to all that knew him. You may remember the television series “Gentle Ben”. Charlie and wife Beverly trained their own bears for that show. It was a good family program and had good ratings with the public. The Allens had a home north of Bakersfield, Calif, called Pixeley. It was just off the Interstate 10. We never failed to stop and have coffee and cake with them and of course we cut up jackpots. This note has nothing to do with the letter above. I just thought of good times with good friends.

A hero passes away at the age of 93. Capt Sid Kellner is seen here with his crew. Sid stands top left second in. Sid was born June 1921, and passed yesterday, Feb 9,2015. How well I remember our friendship going all the way back to James Bros circus, and to the George Matthews Great London circus. Sid you will be missed by many.
Your friend IVAN.

About a year ago I received an old tattered and pretty well beat up magazine. It took about 7 months for me to clean and put the pages in order, then into photo shop.
I hope you will enjoy the following.
Please note The magazine or tabloid was from the Marrill Publishing Co. 1934 No. M3480.
