I personally DO NOT believe in chain link arenas. It is just to easy for a cat or bear to climb out of, even with a barrier net at the top.

The Clyde Beatty Book

Posted By on March 7, 2010

This photo is of the cover of Beatty’s book “The Big Little Book”. The story is about “The Big Cage”. It was a universal studio film starring Clyde Beatty, Anita Page Raymond Hatton and Mickey Rooney. This photo was given to me for the circus blog from Jack Badal. Thanks …… A little foot note:  I often wonder why the motion picture producers do not make more circus movies?  They have always been a success and they always made money. More importantly, we have some very talented circus performers that indeed are star quality and are just as good if not better than some of the movie actors I have seen lately.

Looks like some of Bill Biggerstaff’s printing.  Bill has printed more coupons and circus posters than anyone I know and they are all frist class.

Alfredo Lalo Codona Vera Bruce

From left to right: Alfredo,Vera Bruce and Lalo. It is my opinion that the Codonas set the bench mark for the rest of the flyiers. This photo was taken on Ringling Bros Barnum & Bailey Circus 1932.

Circus Wagons of Long Ago

This old circus wagon along with others should be on display for others to see.  So much American history has been forgotten… not only just of the circus but what has made this great country. The name of the circus that this wagon belonged to is unknown to me. Please comment if you info.
