Jack Badal handled the entire reptile collection at the Los Angeles Zoo. In this photo he has on the snake stick a Diamondback rattle snake found mainly in the pacific west. Jack trained or handled just about every animal I can think of. For what he did he was one of the best in the business that concerned animals. Photo taken by Nick Ortega 1960.

This is a photo that I thought I would never see. This pretty lady is my Aunt Marie Henry she, the wife of Robert “Hap” Henry. Photo taken 1929 0r 1930. Hap was the third oldest of the Henry brothers. He and Marie had two sons, Michael and Richard. My uncle Hap was seriously injured by his elephant. The accident took place on the Rudy Bros circus around 1953. After a performance while running back to the elephant trailer he slipped and fell to the ground and the elephant’s foot hit him in the back of his head. Hap never totally recovered from his injuries and later died.
Thank you Jackie for the photo.
