Perri Andre was a feature on the Yankee Patterson Circus and the Esclante Circus. Perri did have two other dancers with him in the act. He also did a tight wire act. I remember him only because he would watch over me when my mother and father were performing. Spanish and Mexican dancers were very popular in the 40’s.

Bill Capell was always buying old circus equipment. He then would restore it, play with it for a while, as this was his hobby and he enjoyed every minute of it. Much of the show wagons were either sold or donated and then Bill would start all over again on a new project.

Bill Capell bought this old Foley and Burk office wagon. After cleaning it up and repainting it to it’s original look, he made it his own office. It now can be found in his back yard.

The circus midway was always filled with popcorn, cotton candy and hot dogs. This was the bread and butter of the circus, and to hold them on the midway longer there were side shows.
