Ivan this is from the Concello/Mclosky retooling of RBBB POST WWII 47 TO 57 WITH all that surplus they bought from the Army. Belive Peru has one of theae, remember Hall of Fame Sarasota had one back in 60’s. They had tigers in one, Rix/Hagenbeck bears in another and Prince Damoo Dhote /Court leopards47,48,49 then Konyot/Paul Fritz lions 52 to 56. Thts when they went to small cages built by I believe Eddie Billetti. same individual cages used by that time by CLYDE BEATTY for indooor shrine dates, later used by Dave Hooover AND My first season on Hoxie 76 on loan from my friend Dave Hoover. Also Cuneo/Hawthorn super cage act of leopards, white wolves and black panthers and late great Pat Anthony hd cages built by Billlettti if I recall. Enjoy your blog, andLANCE LINK, Secret Chimp one of great TV shows.GREAT! MIKE CECERE
Looking for any info, and especially “at work” or ve him circus-scene photos, of longtime (pre-2000) R.B.B&B circus worker Michael Wade, who helped tend Ringling Bros. circus animals, including Gunther Gabel-Williams’ big cats.
Met him once, and he was an interesting, incredibly likeable, gentle, humble old fellow. He mourns the loss of most of his circus memoribilia. Expect to see him again, and would love to give him a photo of him in his circus days.
