Gus and Casey Augspurg Jungle Wonders. This photo was taken while doing school shows. Not long after they were booked in Las Vegas at the Tropicana Hotel & Casino. Gus created a great comedy act that played at the Tropicana for years. I am proud to say I knew them well. The agent that booked him into the Tropicana was Howard Schultz.

E.K.Fernandez Circus Cargo

As you can see, loading up the boat was quite a chore. It would take many hours. Animals, performers & equipment had to go on the same boat. E.K. Fernandez was one of the nicest circus owner I have ever worked for….he was a true gentleman and showman.

E.K.Fernandes Circus

Mr. Fernandez would take the circus from island to island and spend a week or more on each depending on the size of the island.  Most of the performers were from the mainland or Mexico. I was there twice with the chimp act in the early 60’s. When we were there we flew from island to island. In the early years, they went by boat….this one looks a little overloaded.

The Banner line

The side show banner line, must have been a windy day…. notice the banners are not peeked out. The name of the circus is unknown to me. I will take a guess at Daily Bros.
