I contacted Johnnie Ray to do the National Date Festival where I was the show producer. Unfortunately he was already booked. 1982.

Riverside County Fair National Date Festival 1981. Boxcar Willie was one of performers that I contacted regarding entertainment at the fair as well as Johnny Ray, Regis Philbin.

On days like the 4th of July or Veterans Day, my mother would sing the National Anthem before the show.

Siebrand Bros Circus…..1954. Mr Clark’s dogs were all black standard poodles. The musicians for the circus were George Vest on organ and “Pancho”Frank Roche on drums.

People are beginning to gather at the back of the Midway. The circus was a big attraction, and made Siebrands carnival very successful. There was a cover charge of 25 cents during the 1950’s.

When we started our fair season Big Pete Siebrand would hire extra acts that were part of our grandstand shows. I never missed a Lowe, Hite and Stanley performance….they were a comedian’s comedy act. Henry Hite stood at 7 foot 9 inches.
