I saw their act but never got a chance to talk “monkey business” with them. I should say Chimp business.

I think all circus performers should belong to this society, after all are not we a society of performers and more over we have to support and protect our history.

In this photo the Suarez Family is doing a tandem two high on horseback. I saw this act several times…and they were outstanding.

This is a picture of a clown & a jargo (a costume of an animal made up of two people, one person controlling the heat and one controlling the hind quarters ).This is usually a comedy routine for children.

Pictured here is one of the flying acts in Circo Suarez. In order to be a great flyer….it is imperative to start at a young age.

In 1974 I had the pleasure of being with Circo Suarez. We took the chimp act and while there, Ruel the owner of the show asked me to work the elephants as their trainer and also break a young African elephant named Judy. I enjoyed entertaining the receptive Mexican audiences.
Thank you for your comment Ryan, There is a replay from me.

Rickie and David Nelson, Babs and Del Graham. In the early 60’s Del trained Rickie as a flyer and David as a catcher. Del did a great job in teaching these young men. Rickie did five tricks and a passing leap with Babs. Everyone in the business was quite surprised that they were so good. In the following year, we did many shows together. Then after a few years, Rick Nelson went on to his singing career. In 1982 I hired Rick and his band to perform at the National Date Festival, Indio, CA.
