Babe

There is a very special place in my heart for this elephant, as I grew up with her along with Vera and Dutch. When I was just a little kid, I would sneak out of our caravan and go the menagerie where the animals were kept. I would find Babe and Dutch and curl up in their trunks. This only happened now and again as my father stopped it. This picture of Babe was taken at Jungleland, Thousand Oaks, CA. Babe appeared in many motion pictures like ” Elephant Walk”…Wally Ross was her trainer in that movie…and “Gungadine” plus many others.
