A Tight Squeeze

This has nothing to do with circus performers, This is a mishap that took place at a zoo or a carnival snake show. The owner has a smile but the danger is there.

This photo was taken in 1943 on Russell Bros Circus. The last time I saw Mac and Peggy was at their home in South Texas. He gave me a bull hook …..what an honor.

Photo taken 1968 on Polack Bros Circus. I remember this cat well. Pat would have her do many fast roll overs and sometimes she would come out of them and try to bounce Pat. Bill Johnson and I had to keep an eye on her for Pat. She was called Tuffy and rightly so…..she was a tough cat.

Arkie was one of my favorite friends. He was tough, but not mean, always joking and ribbing with you. He was an excellent bull man. This photo was taken on Ringling Bros. in 1953. My three heroes are Buckles, Mac and Arkie. When I worked my elephants I took their skills and applied them as best I could.
