Today I got a gratifying call from Sheriff Joe Arpaio. I had called his office to voice my disappointment in his derrogatory remarks about my profession….”the circus.” If you have read my editorial on the circus blog you will understand why I was upset with his statesment. He called to apologize to me personally and to all circus performers. He told me that he did not intend to slight the circus profession in any way and that it was a poor choice of words. He also stated that he loved the circus. I thank him for caring enough to call and grateful that he is the Sheriff of Maricopa County, AZ.
