Dad and big Jackie. Dad had to keep a close eye on this chimp if she took a disliking to someone she would throw the stilts like a javelin at them. Photo was taken at the Barbary Coast, Hoyt Hotel, Portland, Oregon.

Tatanka Weitgo Phil Crazy Bull is a full blood Lakota Chief and Holy man….. “Rest in Piece,” Uncle…… Thank you for teaching me the good Red Road. Mehtahleya Oyisin. Before he left us to go with God creator, he gave me the Holly Pipe called Chanupa. The Chanupa is used in healing ceremonies, and blessing. It has powerful property’s , not to be smoked or held in a foolish manner. It has given me Woksape Wokikta. I hold the Chanupa with honor and pried. I thank my uncle Pkil. Aho.

I am somewhat disappointed in this program. They do not mention the names of the acts in a list or under their picture.      Interesting comment Please read.

Gene Holter’s Wild Animal Show

Posted By on September 20, 2010

Gene was an exception to the rule of circus. Very little music if any during the show. He would get on the microphone and talk though out all his performances. I guess he believed in educating the public about everything there is to know about trainers , animals etc, etc. Oh and when he ran out words he just might talk about the weather. All in all he was a fine showman and person. Gene Holter loved the business.

Thanks Lucy for your comment.

I am trying to save as many of these old ads as I can.  Many are beginning to decompose.
