Tight Wire Display

Here again the names of these performer are unknown to me. In the background can be seen another wire act performing. I am thinking that this could be Clyde Bros Circus. The Carson family were on the show in the mid to late 1940’s, They were known as the Royal Rockets, and they had a skating act.

I knew of this family,  but never worked with them. The photo was from the late 1940’s. Note the cartoon like characters. I find that quite unique.

Great comment. Please read.

The name of this performer is unknown to me. I appreciate your help with comments. It is my goal to chronicle as much circus history and show business in general as I can.  Thank you once again for your help.   IVAN.

Shelby Jackson was not much of a talker and was quite humble in his ways. I remember once he spoke a little about working with Burt Lancaster on the King circus before the war. He also spoke of Bruce Lablond and a man by the name of Sam Ketchum. I think if I remember correctly this could have been the person that put Shelby in the business and also taught him acrobatics and bars.

Thank you for your comment …Kandra
