Patricia Leigh

Patricia was a sideshow performer in the 1940’s and 50’s. She was known as the bearded lady. You can see a mustache and a slit beard. Actually Patricia was a man and after a shave he at times would preform as a female impersonator.

This is a steam calliope. The wagon was built in 1872 but the undercarriage is modern.

Benny Rossi #3

Benny Rossi was a trick rider. I believe he was on the Al G. Kelly Miller Circus at the time of this photo. Many of the Al G. Kelly Miller photos were shot by Carl H. Haussman a circus fan, CFA 2024.

Carl “POP” Haussman?

I found this photo, along with other circus photos, with his name on the Al G. Kelly Miller. I am hoping that another circus fan will confirm or not.

Hamming It Up

Posted By on April 16, 2012

I found this photo and thought that I would post it. This is all I know, just what’s in the photo. I have only seen two other acts like this. Uncle Henry’s Pork Chop Review and Johnny Cline had a pig act for awhile. I remember he spoke of it and said he worked it for one season. He also mentioned that  that winter was pretty bad but the pig act came in handy. If you knew Johnny you would understand.
