This is a four section tiger cage wagon, with heavy and deep carved statues on all four corners. The photo was shot during a parade.

The Last Laugh

This is an interesting new twist on Ringling, one that some circus historians may shake there heads over. It is a must read and I am sure you will find it to be very mind opening. Upon your read there may be a little controversy in some parts, but informative in other. I believe the author of this book understands his family better than those that think they do.

Emmett Kelly

Emmett Kelly was  forever trying to sweep away the spotlight that shown on the circus arena floor. It was a funny gag that he or the spotlight operator invented. Emmett was known for his original walk- arounds. Of all the gags that he did, the eating of the cabbage was my favorite. I want to thank Staisa and Randy for making these photos available to the circus blog.

This is a rare photo of Emmett caught with a smile on his face.  Tramp clowns in make up are never to express being happy. This day was different…..Emmett received a phone call and learned of the birth of his daughter Stasia.

Thanks for your comment Michael.

Dietter Tasso

This photo of Dietter was taken on the Ringling show in 1956. He is still with us today doing his cup and saucer act only with a few little changes. Dietter was great then but he is even greater now. He can be seen on YouTube.
