Allen King performed on such shows as Gollmar Bros, John Robinson. Hagenbeck & Wallace, Sparks, Sells Floto, and Al G. Barnes.

They started Bentley Bros Circus in 1977 and it closed in 1999. By all reports they had a fine show. Tommy came a long way, from washing dishes on Hagenbeck & Wallace Circus learning ever act he could and then to owning a successful circus. Indeed he will be remembered as one of the great […]

In Tommy’s younger years he traveled with many circuses including Hoxie, Kelly Miller and many others, but Hagenbeck & Wallace is where he got his start. He ran away from home at a very young age. It is said that since 1915 there has not been a season without a Hanneford appearing in one or in part of a leading American circus including their own shows. “Poodles Hanneford” is the third from the left, His mother is standing to his left.
