Bob Capell putting the liberty horses through their routine . This trick is called a ring curb walk. The horses will make a complete circle and on que, stop in front for a finish standing bow. Photo taken early 1950’s, on a main street, in Oklahoma.

Before Doc had a circus, he sold his own concoctions of medicine. A small bally platform, some entertainment to build the tip and then he would hustle his medicine.

A little soap, flower and water mixed up in a bucket…..find a fence, wall, the side of a barn or a building and slap it on. There were a few times you have to pay for the space, but with a circus ticket or two the fix was in.
